Series 3 of record group 70-129 consists of proposed post-war work projects in the state forests (1942-44) from the Forestry Division of the Michigan Dept. of Conservation. Contains small county maps showing the location and extent of the proposed projects; a compilation of the work proposals arranged by county; general correspondence regarding the proposed program; and the potential work reports submitted in 1944 by the directors of the 13 state forests. Work proposals included such labors as road and trail building, bridge construction, surveys, nursery operations, and maintenance functions.
